Living in Mountain Elegance

This has been a hell of a week!  I have been preparing for a huge "make or break" meeting with clients that are building a home outside of my comfort zone.  Don't get me wrong, I'm up for the challenge, just a little less sure footed is all.  They described their vision for the new home as mountain elegance but most of the concept photos they shared were pretty rustic and traditional.

Anyway, we came up with a nice palette and overall design concept for the home, and they lovd it!  Below are a couple of images that helped guide me in the right direction.

Wicked Wallcoverings

Wallpaper has made a comeback friends! Many now peel off in large pieces, so it isn't the nightmare to remove that it used to be.  And with the graphic design and digital art of today, there are some fabulous wallpaper choices out there.  I personally prefer these wall coverings in small spaces such as powder bathrooms or guest bedrooms.  Smaller spaces, as well as rooms you don't look at everyday can handle bolder prints.  And who wouldn't love a cool, patterned bed wall?  Take a peek at the pics below to get a feel for wallpaper today....
